We’ve been having a discussion on ClickinMoms about using the 35 1.8 on a full-frame camera. I’d never even contemplated doing so, because the 35 1.8 is a DX lens and is “meant” to be used on a crop sensor. However, except for some heavy edge vignetting I’m really pleased with how it performs on my D700. I’ve been drooling over a wide angle lens for months now, and so it is exciting to have a temporary solution to my “need.”
I was just reading about this yesterday. Glad it works for you! I’m trying to stick to FX lenses just in case I go full frame in the future, but it’s really tempting to grab one of these because they’re so inexpensive. Think the 35 will make it’s way into your camping bag? :bats eyelashes:
such an adorable and willing subject Isaac is…future in modeling or TV?
Your boy gets cuter and cuter by the moment…and of course, your shots of him are awesome as always. I so love your work.
Interesting! I have the Tamron zoom, which I need to sell bc I seldom pull it out, but I get some really heavy vignetting on it as well on the wide end. To some extent, I get vignetting on the others too, but I don’t mind it. Hmm. Thanks for making my wish list longer….:)
can’t wait to see the camping photos of the grands..wish I were there ; >(
Yay! I’m loving this lens … thanks for helping me make a decision! :)
