We’ve been discussing how not only do we have negative consequences when we make bad choices, but also fun and enjoyable consequences when we make good choices. After a fabulous trip to Target (for Isaac…. Grayden seems bent on trying my patience. No, child, you can. not. stand up in the shopping cart) we went to Starbucks for a treat of chocolate milk with ice and whip, and a grande half-caf iced caramel latte for Mama. Tonight at bedtime while Isaac and I were discussing the day he said “but Mama, the girl at Starbucks didn’t say I got a good consequence.” Still holding on to some (ok, many) remnants of egocentric tendencies :)
So sweet. Kids do try our patience.
Love this series! The 4th year has been the hardest by far for me and Bennie boy.
