Whittlers
Another activity to go along with Lentil– whittling. The kiddos had a fantastic time ‘whittling’ their soap blocks. And then they had even more fun making a soapy, bubbly mess as we cleaned up the leftover bits!

The blog has been super quiet, lately, but 3 boys, a trip to Oregon to visit family, teaching an online workshop and the beginning of homeschooling (a season in our life that currently doesn’t have a finite length) has kept me more than a little busy. 3 Weeks
We’re surviving! I’d been a bit disappointed with the images I’d captured of our new little guy (he sleeps beautifully… unless he hears the camera’s shutter!) but yesterday, with oldest brother’s adoring help, we captured Carter awake, happy and adorable!

I rearranged the craft supplies, which has reminded the boys about tempera paint. Squashing the neat-freak ‘I just cleaned the table’ inside of me, I said “yes” to his request.

Legos and Tilt Shift
I’m obviously not a needed assistant! He humored my participation more than anything. My new tilt shift lens is going to be a lot of fun to play with! Not immediately intuitive, but super sharp and how fun to have such creative control over the plane of focus.
