“Hey Buddy? Can you help me with something?” (I pull a chair over into the light I want to use, but haven’t yet picked up my camera.) “Yah. You want to take a picture of me.” He knows the drill….

I have a dog (not the one in the image… the other one) that jumps on the sliding door. Incessantly. I do clean the door, but within a couple hours it looks like this again. I hope you all feel better about the state of your windows/ sliding doors now :)
I forgot to pick up the camera for the 365 until bath-time. So, 2 bath photos within a week. Oops :) The boys each had a couple vaccines today. Sad day. That shocked, agonizing scream that always comes after the initial poke breaks my heart. The fever that lasts the rest of the day just
[portfolio_slideshow, thumbs:true] Rough morning, great afternoon photo-shoot. He is such a character!

Start the day off with a little Skype time in the bright morning sun. Later on… who doesn’t artistically organize their books during quiet time?
Got a little closer to the headshot I had in mind. My husband says that these are my “real smile.” (Do you agree Courtney? And- are you happy?? ha!) Which one do you prefer? (and- both today and yesterday’s tops are from shopruche.com. Love that site!)

I was trying to get a new head-shot today. I’m not happy with any of them, but at least the focus is relatively good on this one!

“Grayden, sit down in the tub.” He sits for 2 seconds, then pops up again. Rinse, repeat, over and over again. I do remember this stage with Isaac. Eventually he will sit…
[portfolio_slideshow, thumbs:true] I shot these a few weeks ago, but they’ve been sitting on my desktop. Time to post them up!

[portfolio_slideshow, thumbs:true] Dada was finishing up dinner (gotta love a man who cooks!) and the boys and I took a moment to grab a picture for the day. The light was pretty… so I took more than a few pictures.

We had a total of 23 people over for a great fourth of July celebration, then we walked down to the neighborhood elementary school to watch the town fireworks show. Finally, back to our house for a couple sparklers at 10 o’clock at night. We had some very tired boys at that point, but it

[portfolio_slideshow, thumbs:true] He wanted to jump on the bed and scream. However, his brother was trying (he never did) to nap in the next room over, so we read a book and quieted down.

Halfway through the year?! Congrats fellow 365’ers… 6 months is a big accomplishment! Grayden is also midway. In between a baby and a little boy. On one hand he is picking up new words all the time, can follow 1 step directions, sits for 5-10 minute stretches entertaining himself with books, and is a total
Isaac and I searched the house for pretty pockets of light this morning. Of course, he thought we were playing a different game… but it’s all about the light, you know.

I didn’t buy my weekly bouquet until Tuesday, and I just may shoot some floral macros to replace this uninspired little image with! A “brave” grasshopper that would not hold still on the patio door.

[portfolio_slideshow; thumbs:true] We went out for a frozen yogurt treat today. Isaac especially enjoys choosing his crazy candy combinations. Like today: red velvet yogurt with hot fudge, brownie pieces, Heath Bar bits, Mike and Ike’s, peanut M&M’s, and an animal cookie. The red velvet yogurt tasted surprisingly similar to the cake. Yum!

Grayden’s first one year molar finally broke the surface today. It has been 6 months since we thought that it would be popping up “any day.” He wasn’t thrilled with the development. Not that I blame him, I vaguely remember the discomfort my 12 year molars caused… mouth pain is no joke!
