I planted some pansies in the planter near the entry this afternoon and the light was really pretty. Hazy, warm, 60 degree light in late December. This is why I like California!

We spent a good half an hour making foam sticker snowmen today. Grady’s ended up being quite impressionistic.
Isaac was given a sweet gift of a packet of hot chocolate and several mini candy canes by one of his classmates today. Of course, he needed 2 straws in order to drink his beverage correctly.

They both adore shower time, which has largely replaced bath time in our house. I love watching their relationship as brothers grow.
After dinner we took a quick driving tour of the surrounding neighborhoods to look at Christmas lights.

[portfolio_slideshow; thumbs, true] We watched Santa arrive on an airplane on base today. Neither boy had ever sat on Santa’s lap, but surprisingly they were both thrilled with the experience! There was also face painting, balloon animals, presents, crafts, live music, hot dogs, popcorn and cotton candy. Quite the party.
