Did you know that donkeys are kept as milk animals? Neither did I! These sweet animals were so content and kindly tolerated the attention of over 30 toddlers and preschoolers. The geese on the farm were quite a bit less pleased with our presence. The preschooler of my pair was all set to ride the donkey with one of his friends from his class. Then he changed his mind and wanted to ride with his little brother… cue tears from the sweet little friend and stubbornness from my child ;) In the end, the brothers did indeed ride together and the friend rode with another child from class. Preschool social negotiations can be exhausting.
