Last July, when we visited Erice for the first time, I remember that it was cooler up on the mountaintop than it had been down at sea level in Trapani. When we visited this time, in early April, it was also colder up at the top. Super cold, actually. The clouds were briskly blowing across the tops of the buildings creating a changeable view from moment to moment and wrapping the town in an all together different kind of mood.
